EchoDigitalConsulting ("we," "our," or "us") built Bullseye ("the App") as a darts scoring and coaching app with a freemium subscription tier ("Bullseye Pro"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Bullseye.
By using Bullseye, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Bullseye has no accounts and no sign-in. You never create a username or password, and we never ask for your name or email address to use the App.
Your matches, practice sessions, throw history, and coaching recommendations are stored locally on your device (Apple's SwiftData framework) and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced to your own private iCloud database — a database only you and your other signed-in devices can read. We, the developers, cannot access, read, or export this data. It is never transmitted to us in any form.
If you use Bullseye with a paired Apple Watch, we measure the consistency of your throwing motion (release timing, tempo, follow-through). Raw motion samples are reduced to a pooled summary entirely on your device before anything is stored — the raw motion data itself is never persisted or uploaded anywhere, by us or by Apple. The pooled summary follows the same private-iCloud-sync path as your match data above.
Bullseye can score your darts automatically using your phone's camera, and can accept spoken scores using your microphone and on-device speech recognition. All of this processing happens live, on your device, to score the dart you just threw — no camera image, audio recording, or speech transcript is stored or transmitted as part of normal scoring.
If you enable it, Bullseye starts a workout session on your Apple Watch during a match or practice session so it can track your heart rate and keep sampling your throwing motion through HealthKit. This data is used to build your in-app workout recap and is stored the same way as your other match data above (locally + your own private iCloud). We do not access your broader Health app data beyond what a workout session requires.
Bullseye includes a separate, off-by-default, explicitly-consented feature that lets you contribute board-camera snapshots (small black-and-white images plus one color image of your dartboard) to help us improve the camera-scoring detector. This feature:
This data is linked to your Apple ID. We verified this directly against Apple's current CloudKit documentation: Apple's CloudKit system automatically attaches a "creator" identifier to every record saved to a public database, and this identifier can be resolved back toward account information through Apple's own APIs. This is true even though the images themselves carry no filename or caption identifying you, and even though our app code never reads or displays that identifier. We do not use this identifier for anything — we only use the images to look at dart and board positions — but we want to be accurate rather than claim the contribution is anonymous when CloudKit's own architecture doesn't allow that.
You can turn this feature off at any time from the same consent screen. Turning it off (or resetting all app data) also deletes every image you previously contributed from our public database — not just your local record of having contributed. This deletion is real, retryable if it fails partway, and not merely a promise made in this document; it is implemented in the App itself.
Because almost everything described above stays on your device or in your own private iCloud database, there is very little for us to "use." What we can act on:
We do NOT sell your data, build advertising profiles, or make automated decisions that affect you.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of EchoDigitalConsulting, our users, or the public.
Your private match, practice, and workout data is never shared with us or anyone else — it lives in your own iCloud account, governed by Apple's own privacy practices for iCloud.
Bullseye uses zero third-party services, SDKs, or dependencies. The only "third party" involved in any part of the App is Apple itself, through:

Bullseye is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have received data from a child under 13 through the optional camera-frame contribution feature, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has contributed data to us, contact us at privacy@echodigitalconsulting.ca.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, note it within the App. Continued use of Bullseye after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
